My grandmother passed away on december 6th and I have been wondering this also.
I think it is important to realize that we each have a personality. That is what makes us unique. In heaven we will still have that personality. Some people think we will be perfect when we get there but I am not so sure. God himself has jealousy and anger.
When I thought about my Grandma I realized that there are so many things she enjoyed on earth. She loved crafts and baking and entertaining. I really believe that she is part of the team that makes the food for the banquet tables. She is probably fussing just like she always did. I am sure she is enjoying time with her family members who had passed and doing what she always loved.
God made us in his image. I am certain our enjoyments are also shared by him. Heaven would be the place that allows for them.

I don't know. For me though it is just Jesus. There could be nothing else but, him and that would be my Heaven but, my Dad passed away last February and he was an old bull rider who used to ride the rails from Rodeo to Rodeo. He loved horses and everything about it so I think when he was all of a sudden in Heaven (His death was so beautiful -- his eyes opened wide and he got the most beautiful smile -- I knew someone special was there for him) anyway I think all of a sudden he was on a bull's back and the shute door opened and there was the Magnificent Seven music playing loudly and John Wayne and everyone he knew was there to cheer him on and he would get the best ride he ever had.

If you want to know what Heaven is like, go 'meet' the peope who've been there (and come back).
There are lots of books of people who've been there and back and quite a few people who've also talk about their experience.
They would be the ones to give you the best insight. Blessings on your uncle who is now experiencing the joy!

Not going to try to explain it. What I do know is that it is timeless, meaning, time has no meaning. If you can conceive of a place where there is no time, then you can begin to get a picture, but considering humans are unable to do that, you can't even begin to understand it.

Based upon the bible, I'd say it seems rather like a lobotomy, a perfect world where no one ever sins, no one hurts, etc. etc.... So rest easy knowing your uncle is now in a better place minus those pesky higher brain functions.

Nothing we will ever imagine...that's for sure. The streets are paved with gold.. maybe the sand on the beaches will be tiny pearls?

1Co 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
