Hopkins only fought people lighter than him. Jermain taylor is a horrible fighter, who runs away from his opponent.

winners against whom? Bernard Hopkins fights LIGHTER fighters. Jermain Taylor is the most overrated boxer on the planet, did you even see his last fight? He fights like a girl?

Well, Hopkins beat Antino Tarver - a light heavyweight (at the age of like 41). I never really liked Hopkins much in his prime cause like you said, most of his oppenents were either smaller or not very good, but I do respect the fact that he was champ for so long and then moved up and beat Tarver. You have to respect a long time champion no matter who he beats.
Taylor is very luck to be champ, he should have lost the first fight to Hopkins, and even the second one was a draw, and then he got beat by Winky (a much smaller fighter) but again got a lucky draw. And then he wanted to fight the guy who won the condenter cause he doesn't want to fight anyone good. I'm not sure why Taylor is so famous, he only has a bronze medal and runs a lot, but he does have a few powerful knock-out wins.
I think people like them cause being a champion (even if it is by luck) gets respect. Most fans only know who the champs are.

They are winners. 73 wins 4 losses 2 draws 49KO's
Hopkins was champ over 10 years holding part or all of the middle weight title. Two of Hopkins losses were to Taylor who is undefeated.

Because they are two very skilled fighters with great boxing ability. Apparently you either just have a dislike for them or just don't know much about boxing like the guys on here that do.
