Dark beer lets you know you are drinking beer. Don't fear flavor my man.

I used to hate dark beer, but I had a dark beer that tasted like chocolate a few weeks ago. Quite an acquired taste, but it was great!

I don't drink a lot of beer these days,but when I do.. I prefer Dos Equis Amber.. I heard dark beer has the same health benefits as red wine.. not sure how true that is..

The real difference in beer is not dark or light it is ale or lager. like red or white wine. lagers are what most people drink (bud, miller, corona, every light beer known to man, etc.) lagers use top fermenting yeast at cool temperatures that don't add a lot of flavor to them so you have to drink them cold in order to hide bitterness in them (hence those beers taste HORRIBLE warm) ales use bottom fermenting yeast that works at warmer temperatures so it can release more esters or flavors into the beer. a good ale can have different tastes of citrus, chocolate, banana, nuts, oatmeal, etc without any of that every being in it due to the sugars the yeast leaves. lagers can be as light as a light beer to a black lager. ales can go from a pale ale (about the color of a lager) or golden ale (taste like bud done right) to that of a stout (like guiness) the real difference is if you like ales or lagers cause that is when the taste really changes. as for me i love Rochefort 10. oh if you want to see what people who know think good beer is go to www.ratebeer.com

dark has much more flavor. i prefer most dark beers if i'm only drinking a few; if i plan to be at the bar all night, i have to go light.

I enjoy both dark and light beer. I've found that a nice stout with a pizzookie rocks!!!

i like any as long as it has a rich taste, the hell with light beer...i go to the gym for a reason, so all roads lead to dark beer for me
but light is also good sometimes

You have to found one that is smooth ,just like there are regular color beer that taste dark. Lowenbrau Dark is smooth, Sam Adams Dark Ale is smooth.

If you don't like dark beer, don't buy it. There is a market for dark beer, otherwise breweries would not produce it.
