My border collie mix is constantly having ear issues. It is probably and ear infection or yeast like the prior answerer. You typically need med from the doc for this particular issue. If the med you bought was from your pet store, there probably wasn't enough good stuff in it to do the trick. The first thing is to buy pet ear wash and wash the heck out of it. You might get lucky and this might clear it right up.

I'm guessing that the smell is coming from the ears..........if it wasn't, if it was from somewhere else on the body, I would tell you that my unneutered male dog smells like gasoline after he has been "hunching"...............sorry, it's true though
Oh, I just had a thought, when my dogs used to use ear medicine, the medicine itself smelled like vinegar, which would make sense, since people swim ear-meds have vinegar in them.
Ok, another thought....are the ear-meds for mites or for fungus? My long earred dog used to get fungus-y ears from no air circulation........got the med for that? Cuz fungus-y ears really do stink.................

Smells like a yeast infection to me. Does it smell kind of like brewers yeast? A bit of a beerish smell?
Take her to the vet and they will prescribe something to clear it right up!
