Yes, but definitely make sure your dog is completely up to date on all vaccinations. Bring copies of vaccination records from your vets office, and see if they have any other documentation you should bring along. In addition, you will need to have the certificate you recieved after the dog recieved the rabies shot.

You're going to need a current rabies vaccination and an international health certificate. Any further information can be found on the mexican government website.

A health certificate is only good for ten days, so you'll need to visit the vet's office just a few days before going, and you may need to visit a vet when you're there to get another, depending on how long you stay.

A friend of mine just recently went to visit her mother that lives in Mexico. She told me she was taking her dog and I asked her about it. She said it was not a problem and she had done it before. She was flying in and out of Mexico so I don't know if that is different from driving. Funny that a US citizen has to be concerned about bringing their dog back into the country but yet millions of non-citizens cross the border without so much as a glance from the government.

you can take you dog to Mexico, but you need to have proof that the dog has it's shots. My cuz has been bringing back and forth his dog with no problem.

traveling out of the country with your pet is very stressful and alot of paper work is involved. and sometimes it may be easy to get your pet out of the country but then very difficult to get it back into the U.S. Contact your state veterinarian's office for all the up to date info on what is needed to travel to specific countries.

how long are you planning on being gone? there is a quarantine i believe for animals entering the US from mexico. you need to check with customs and ask them.
