FORGET RELIGION
Christ is the path of salvation.
Christ is the truth of God's Word.
Christ is the life eternal.
Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.
Christ is the tree of life.
Gen 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
God's Word is not a religion but a reality.

In my opinion, religions are more about practices and values than literal belief in the supernatural. Myth is metaphor, as Joseph Cambell, the famous mythologist, said. Myths and religious practices inform our ethics and have the power to make us better people. For example, in many forms of Buddhism, people sit, meditate and see the people they truly are. It is believed that it is only then that they can transform themselves into better people. If you deny the bad and harmful parts of yourself, you give those parts free rein and they run amock. But, if we take a good long look at ourselves, the bad with the good, we can then take charge of who we are, reduce the bad parts and augment the good.
I also think that Divinity is mysterious and ineffible. All myths are merely metaphors for approaching that Divinity. Divinity defies paradox and can therefore be both plural and singular. Ancient myths about the Gods are, to me, just as valid as monotheistic myths, because all point to Divinity that we can only understand through metaphor. So, maybe all religions and myths are just different paths to the same Divinity.
Also, many, many religions allow people to be members of other religions. Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, and Wicca are all examples of this. This is because they are INCLUSIVE rather than EXCLUSIVE religions. They're open to different ways to the Divine and to different practices, myths and the like that make us better, more ethical people.
From that point of view, there is no one "right" religion, because alll religions are just systems for making us better people, making the world a better place and connecting with Divinity. I think it's more of a matter of finding which system or systems works best for each one of us to do that.

I don't know about the true religion... a religion is just a system. But I know that the true god is Jesus Christ, the Father, and the Holy Spirit.

I myself also don't think that there is one. I think many different groups(religions) have take pieces of information down through the years and picked which they liked best and started a religion on those pieces. Many of the ideas in different Christian religions can be found in the Bible, I've found them myself. Although I'm a Christian, I DO know that even some Muslim ideas can be found in the Bible also, such as women covering their heads and submitting to their husbands. Does that mean that I think any are better than the other, no it doesn't.
All you fellow Christians can give me thumbs down on the Muslim thing, but you know that you've seen it too.
Artist, wow that's very intelligent speaking.

I don't think we are able to tell others what is the 'one true path'. I believe that no one religion works for all people, and that is partly why there are so many options. I also believe that all religions provide a legitimate path to those who follow them.

I think Hinduism is.I will never forget what one Hindu said on here when asked about God and all the different religions."all rivers lead to one ocean" There is no "true religion".All the religions that worship one God are one in the same. When Jesus or Muhammed or Buddha comes back it will be to unite all peace loving good people together.Secularism is b.u.l.l.s.h.i.t.

Religion is a personal choice. The religion that brings you the closest to God is the religion for you.

If I hear 100 different stories describing the same event, I am inclined to believe that all of them have falsified or embellished the truth. Same with religion. To me, the sheer abundance of religions refutes any of them being true.
Believe in yourself. Believe in people. Deal with matters of fact before matters of faith.

the question is not which religion is true, but which of the many can do the best with what they have been given. Which can do the most good deeds and forbid the most evil. Which one can uphold their scriptures the best. God created us different not to despise one another but to learn for each other and compete in doing good and this is a great test for mankind to learn to respect those who also receive guidance and blessings and are devout.

Science. The more we discover about ourselves, the more we discover we don't need religion. Ever wonder why among the most intelligent people in the world, 90% of them are atheists.
