At first I thought this was either a trick question or a "duh, 12 X 15 =180." Then I realized you were using "dozen" in a less common usage. Commercially, "a dozen" refers to 12, derived from the latin duo (2) and decim (10). At one time dozen really just meant a bunch, a bagfull or roughly some, depending on what you were counting out. The plural, dozens, does not equate to any give number and is not recognized in any commercial sense. It just means lots, a whole bunch, plenty, and so on.
In times when people were illiterate, they were also unskilled in the use of numbers. As advances were made, and some of the generalized terms and expressions started to take on a definite meansing, dozen was one of the words which became 12. A dozen of anything was 12. At one enlightening point in time, the laws and penalties for cheating were quite harsh. Rather than get caught short when a customer ordered a dozen, the shopkeeper would often count out 13 items, the the expression, a baker's dozen means 13.
So, (at long last) your question, how much is 15 dozen, But first, there is the "butcher's dozen." This came about from the practice of butchers placing their thumb on the scale to increase the weight of a item being purchased. The butcher's dozen was a term often generalized to indicate a shortage.
So, 15 dozen could well be 180, or if the baker was counting as much as 195, and if the butcher was counting, you may only get 168.
The point of all this, Nothing.
