Shame on you are you calling the French DOGS? We the Turks of Istanbul are half French because French women are beautiful. Ottoman padisahs were aware of this fact. French kings would send a group of 40 beautiful French women to Ottoman Emperors in fear of being attacked by the Janissaries.... This is history....

Dogs lick for a lot of reasons. Licking may be a sign of affection, your dog's way of showing you that he's enjoying spending time with you. Licking is also a way of tasting or getting an object damp can increase the associated smell. i wouldn't call it french kissing, but it probably means they like each other and are just showing affection.

My two dogs do this. My little dog shows his teeth saying "I'm the boss!" and my big dog, she kisses inside his mouth and is saying "Thats right you're the boss". If you show your teeth to your dogs and growl a little they'll lick the roof of your mouth. Although I don't really recommend it unless they've had a good teeth brushing, and then only if you like dog slobber in your mouth.

I have 3 Alaskan Malamutes.
My two females, one whom is almost a year and a half, Alias. and the other whom is four, Dakota.
I see them licking eachother all day. One reason might be to show dominace. The one who is lower in the pack, might lick the alpha dogs muzzle, or inside of it's mouth. To show dominance.
But, for all we know- they love eachother to death.

In a pack they will lick the mouth of the leader as a form of respect, but he would be alpha male so I guess you could say she "loves" him.

She's showing him that she knows he's the boss. Wolves, to show submission, lick the roof of their supporiors mouths, and dogs do the same.

I have two Bichons and they lick eachothers mouths especially when they are playing they bite gently. Its kinda wierd, but I don't think it means anything, they are just dogs.

One of my dogs does this also. From everything I've read it's
supposed to be a sign of "respect", like he is taking care of
my other dog. I think it's weird personally.

dogs are wonderful, but strange animals. I know this is gross, but I used to have a male beagal that put any dog's genitial in his mouth, male or female dog. Who knows why they do what they do?
