I'm traveling to Greece in February and on the way there I will be spending a lot of time on planes/sitting in airports. Any tips on what to bring to keep myself occupied during the flights and waits?

A portable DVD Player can really help pass the time - borrow one from a friend or relative if you don't own one. I also brought my iPOD Shuffle and that kept me entertained while waiting to board my plane. Books are always good, and a phone with games or that you can call or text people from in airports are good. Magazines of course are always good, though they go pretty fast if we're talking hours upon hours here.

I try not to get much sleep the night before flying and just pass out, that's the best way for me to pass the time on a flight!

Have a good trip! :)

Take first class. they will have some movies on the flight but bring laptop and movies. I read when i fly too. You can always buy some beer on the plane or airports and that will help you have fun

there'll be in-flight leisure in the airplane. there'll be video clips to observe, music to hearken to and video games and crosswords to play. different than this, there are newspaper and magazines to study. in case you become bored,, carry out a little close-eyes, so which you will arrive relatively refreshed. And substantial element is be gentle. not something greater stressful on long flight than being uncomfortable in the seat for the flight length. If not, seek for chat companions, guess there could be somebody who would be interested in breaking the boredom by utilising chatting. If this does not paintings for you, verify with the cabin team for video games they save on-board, snacks and beverages to maintain your self occupied.

Xanax helps a lot. That and a neck pillow for sleeping. A laptop computer, DVD player, even an Ipod Video won't last more than a few hours on batteries, so why even bother?

Books and magazines, puzzle and game books, Ipod or MP3 player with your favourite music.
Most airlines these days provide excellent entertainment channels for long distance flights,
But you may like to snooze too.

My very best contribution is: If you are to change flights, do it overseas, not in the US. Example: If you live in Dallas, do not fly Dallas to NY and then to Athens. Fly Dallas to Athens. US airport logistics are nightmarish and the personnel, albeit well meaning, are far behind in knowledge and courtesy compared with their counterparts in European airports. Good Luck.

I always bring:
Books (paperback, used, so you can leave them behind when you're done reading)
MP3 player
DVD player

For the plane:
Comfort items--eyeshades, inflatable pillows, footrest, snacks
