You should wait until the dog is dead. Then it's probably safe

My dog loves taking showers!! He is a Great Dane and so showering him is easier than bathing because I do not have to bend over and try to reach around him as much to make sure he is rinsed off all the way. He is 9 months old.

If you mean how old do they have to be before you can bathe them, then I have bathed puppies as young as 4 weeks. Just make sure to use warm water and keep the soap out off their face. And the most important thing when bathing very young (less then 4 months) dogs is to make sure they stay WARM till they are completely dry!! It's always important to make sure young puppies aren't allowed to get chilled.

JUSTME got my answer in first. But seriously, I had a German Shepherd who actually preferred taking showers rather than baths. I'd use a hand held type and hose her down with it.Of course,if I let the water stand in the tub, she'd eventually lie down in the tub to rinse.

depends on how easy it is for them to turn the handles. lol sorry had to. you can usually bathe a pup around 6 weeks. you'll want to use a mild puppy shampoo or a baby shampoo that's tear, perfume and dye free. if the pup is younger than that and you're needing to get rid of poo or pee on them you can get puppy wipes at most petstores or use the mild shampoo, just make sure they are completely dry and warm afterwards.

Mine was 12 weeks old.
I guess he thought I was hiding from him and he was going to find me behind the shower curtain. He kept trying to go under it so I finally pulled him in and lathered him up.
Once he realized what happened in there he never tried to get in with me again.

I don't think they are ready for a shower until they are a year old, baths only until then.

Don't bathe him sooner than 6 months old. After that, no more than once a month.

As soon as he is able to lather up by himself and can tell the difference between the Hot and Cold spigets.
