I have really long thick hair and I was wondering if anyone knows any good hair products to calm it down and basically make it less puffy, frizzy, and thick.

Go to a store that sells hair products, buy a good leave in conditioner, I us Pantene PRO V. Or Pantene Pro-V Style Smooth & Shine Anti-Frizz Serum. Or you could just wet it down, or put it up in a pony tail. But look for good products in stores and ask a worker about hair products and tell her about your problem. If your hair gets in your way too much, maybe go to the hair dresser and tell them to make it not so thick(theres scissors that cuts every 3rd hair or something) Or just cut about 3 inches off or so. Hope this Helps!

I have been having a process called a Japanese straight perm done to my hair for 3 years now. It costs about $300 per treatment and I go about every 6 to 10 months. My hair use to be out of control frizzy and now it is silky, soft and straight. That is the way it dries naturally, until the roots start to grow out and then I have to blow dry it. It changed my whole regime of getting ready in the morning, life simplified!

I have really thick hair too, and after cutting off my dreadlocks my hair is short, which is even worse for thick hair. Unless I spend ages flattening it down using all sorts of ****, it basically looks like a mop.
Thanks for asking this question as I would also really like to know what can tame it.

I have the EXACT same problem!!! Go to the hair dresser and ask for them to use their thinning scissors. it works really well!

The frizzy thing gets so annoying sometimes! But what ive found works is anti frizz but that may not suit your hair type. the key is to shop around and find whats best for you!

You should probably thin it out with that special brush they use at the salon. My wife has it done every now and then and it worked wonders. After watching it being done, I would recommend letting a professional do it.

VO5 hot oil treatment does pretty well, too.

Don't tell the guys that I know these things.

I use Farouk's BioSilk, it is like $30 per bottle but it last for a year even if you have to apply it everyday. Try it first, before buying. It is the only one that worked for me.
