Aggh. My classmate is driving me nuts asking nosy questions (why are you looking at that?)..what to do? She's otherwise nice and friendly but I put on the iPod just to avoid her screechy voice and impertinent questions!

1) She talks OVER the iPod

2) Yes, we normally engage in conversation, she's lively and rather loud which is fine

3) It's the questions that are none of her business while surrounded by 35 other students..does she really need to know?

Ans No. 3, your's is the nicest answer, No. 2 what I'd really like to do..and No 1..the most realistic

Thanks for playing folks!

Do you ever thing she might be asking you questions, b/c she wants to engage you in a conversation. Maybe she just wants to be friends. Give her a chance, if she's still annoying switch seats or keep doing the Ipod thing.

I think that the girls are right. I think she's trying to be friendly and start a conversation. Maybe you could avoid the personal questions by starting a topic before she does.

It sounds like she just wants to be your friend. If you find her that irritating...move seats, and avoid her as much as possible. If she asks you why you moved, tell her that you was having a hard time focusing because you always seem to get into conversations when seated together.

You might try the direct answer, which would be...

"That's private. nobody's business."

Or, "why on earth do you need to know THAT?"

Tell her straight up to just f-ck off if you don't like her. She'll never talk to you again.
