the pancreas releases emzines into the stomach and the stomach uses those emzines to digest food and only the stomach has the proper lining in it for those emzines if you get pancreanitis it can cause major damage to your other organs

The pancreas, liver, gallbladder, bile duct, and stomach all work together the pancreas secretes various enzymes that break down carbohydrates, fats, proteins, and nucleic acids, the enzymes are inactive until activated in the duodenum by other enzymes. Also secreted is sodium bicarbonate which neutralizes stomach acid entering the duodenum.
