You have a history of heart problems...you are answering your own question and you don't have to know the answer.
If you are 16, you may have a congenital heart defect. The symptoms you describe are not anxiety or something that just sounds like a minor problem.
As a person that works with heart surgery patients every day, I would STRONGLY SUGGEST that you tell you parents now and get to a doctor. I can't tell if it is a problem that is occurring right now or if it is a trend over the past couple of days...but you are describing the symptoms of someone that needs an EKG immediately to rule out a cardiac event.
Don't play here...go to the doctor (and if the pain is greater than a 5 out of 10 (10 being the worst that you have ever had and 0 being none at all) go be evaluated now.
TELL YOUR parents!

You may be young to have a heart attack in the classic sense of the word, but it's always possible that you have a heart valve problem, or you have an infection of the heart muscle, that could cause the problems you're feeling. That can happen at any age.
Have you been lifting heavy weights or doing any physical activity that is new for you? Doing anything in PE, like rope climbing or volleyball, or something that involves lifting or using your arm muscles?
In order to rule out anything serious, you should see your doctor. He/she can do a chest x-ray and a couple blood tests to see what might be going on. It's a lot easier to prevent a problem than to try to fix it once it's been ignored for too long. Have your mom call your doc in the morning, ok?

ok, get off the computer and take a drive to the emergency department, NOW! Are you kidding? I hope everything works out, I hope you are ok but it sounds to me like you're having some serious heart trouble! I think this is a great question to answer and I'm sure you want some advice from people who are generally concerned. Well I am concerned and I am giving you the advice to go to the hospital, and not to wait for more people to write back and see if they say the same. But this is only my advice, take it as you will....
yes, it is possible to have a stroke at 16. and a stroke would cause these symptoms.

Go to the doctor/hospital, do an ekg.... Sure, you're only 16, not likely a heart attack, but your symptoms sound very suspicious. If you have a history of heart problems perhaps you should call your regular doctor or cardiologist if you have one.
At least you'll know.

it would be wise of you to go to the nearest emergency room. I am not a doctor, but heart disease run rampant in my family. Those are all well known signs of a heart problem. Signs which should never be ignored or put off. My sister had her first heart attack at the age of 46. She actually felt no pain, but knew something was wrong instinctively and drove herself to the hospital where they told her she would have died if she had waited minutes longer. Please go to the hospital now. Call 911

If you have a history of heart problems, I would call the doctor right away about it. You could possibly be leading up to a heart attack or stroke. I actually would get to an emergency room asap if it doesn't ease down soon.

You need to go to a doctor! My brother had a heart attack at that age!! Don't think that just because you are young doesn't mean that you can't have a heart attack because that is not true!!!!!!

You need to call a nurse hotline.
Really. Or even 911. It sounds like the early signs of a heart attack...
I should mention I'm no expert but really please seek out professional advice, NOW, and not just yahoo!!
