Why are they Christophobic and intolerant?

christos: anointed one
phobos: irrational fear
Therefore a Christophobe would be someone with an irrational fear of anointed people.

A christophobe might be somone whose afraid of christians. People can be scared of the weirdest things, like the moon.

Theists, especially christians, try to control and restrict us based on their views. If all christians stop crusading against science, culture, art, sex and sexuality, religious freedom and such, and stop telling everybody else they're going to be tortured throughout eternity unless they join you, I assure you that you won't encounter nearly as much hostility.
Just reading the replies so far demonstrates my point.

it's not even a real word and probably misused as a tactic of less than good sense . should anyone tolerate falsehood and corruption that's the general view for what you label .
