it sounds logic from the outside, a leader or else the family will be in chaos, but 2 friends could have a great and peaceful friendship without appointing who is the head, each can contribute creative ideas to the relationship, why not working in the family?

We all know that there cannot be two leaders in anything.. They are not going to agree on everything therefore someone has to have the final say. God says it's to be the man, therefore it is the man. Read 1 Peter 3

There needs to be one person in each family who is the ultimate authority. There's a lot of confusion based on what the Bible says. Here's the way I read it. Husbands are to serve their wives as Christ served the church and gave Himself for her. But the Word also says that wives are to submit to their husbands. Ideally, I am to serve my wife and meet her needs, but she is to be kind to me as well and submit to my authority.

If I abuse that power, it does not work. If she does not submit to my authority ultimately, it does not work. Mutual service to one another, but God will hold me accountable as the head of my home.

That's my interpretation of what the Bible says anyway.

That's how my wife and I live. Happily married 15 years, too.

It is their proper role, but liberals and feminists will howl at this because they don't have a clue.

The "two freinds" (like two kings in Rome) theory does not work, and that's why divorce is rampant today - because men are not men.
