Good day,
Good question and this is the best I could come up with. Genesis chapter One and Exodus the 33rd chapter. God is here to be worshiped, loved, praised, honor, glorified and if needed die for by all creation because of him all was is and will be. Revelation the 1st chapter says he is the a to z in English alpha and omega in Greek. His the boss, the one that governs the constant speed of the earths rotation. The one that manifests his great power in the underground flow of lava. My---said shooting stars too.
may you have peace

God exists because people believe he does.(he exists whether we believe in him or not but I'm answering this question as though I were an atheists) The truth is anything believed in by anybody becomes real(at least to them), and the mind has a powerful effect on humanity. If we believe something strong enough it becomes a real issue. So basically, the atheistic view is that it exists because people exist.
P.S.- I am not an atheist

God has no need to have been created or "planted" since He exists either outside time (where cause and effect do not operate) or within multiple dimensions of time (such that there is no beginning of a plane of time). Hence God is eternal, having never been created. Although it is possible that the universe itself is eternal, eliminating the need for its creation, observational evidence contradicts this hypothesis, since the universe began to exist only ~13.7 billion years ago. The only possible escape for the atheist is the invention of a kind of super universe, which can never be confirmed experimentally (hence it is metaphysical in nature, and not scientific).

I want to thank you more than you know for this question. I have been answering questions in a cavalier fashion taking undue pride in the knowledge and wisdom that I believe I poses. You've brought me down and possibly have brought me closer to God. God is real of this I am certain beyond any doubt. I see what He does which speaks to purpose. He cultivates man and brings us to perfection. A noble function indeed and good for us, thank God, But this does not quite speak to your question of existence.
I have determined that I can use one word to describe our reason for living. Entertainment. I strech the definition of this word to encumpas everything from arts to science to works of all kinds and also include the evils that we do. All these things lead to knowledge and wisdom and seems to be a good word to gather all thing to something I can deal with and answers my question as to why I "we" are here.
I do'nt know if this answer is good enough to Give God Himself His reason for existence. Would bringing us to knowledge and wisdom be enough to give His existance enough meaning for Himself. It seems that it must be or He would have "if He even can" ended His own existance. Logically this seems to be corect but I would find it interesting to hear arguements against my position. He has dominion over all that exists. He has given us dominion over the earth and all in it. We do not seem to be satisfied with this and that beg s the question as to whether or not God is satisfied with His position or is there something thatelse that H could posibly crave.
A good mind tweeking question. Thanks again
Regards
A Humbled DL

God exists from ever to eternity, he is the creator so nobody could of created him, you can see God with your normal human senses, you need to be a little humble in order to make a sincer prayer and tell him to give you a signal in the name of Jesuschrist. some people fell anoid with this part but it says in the bible that you can ask anything to God in th name of Jesuschrist and the Father will do it.

Good question. because you exists and i exists and all humans exists is the first step to know why HE exists, but the important thing is that He loves you, and he want to exist in your spiritual life.

Please read my words carefully:
If you see footmark in the sand, you'll say that someone passed from here...
If you see a piece of dog sh*t on the ground, you'll say that a dog passed from here...
So what about the enormous universe, the sky, stars, planets, earth and all the beauty in it, doesn't it lead to that someone made it?!!!
Some people say that everything is created by itself after the big-bang... I won't ask you about what caused the big-bang, but I'll ask you a simple question:
If you take all the letters of the alphabet, multiples of them, and you threw them randomly on the floor. Do you expect (by a chance of one in infinity) to get a poem like shakespear's??!!
Can't you see how organized our universe is, the planets, the eco-system on earth, look even in your own body... Can you control your heart-beat? Can you control your breath while you're sleeping? Who stopped your eye-lashes from growing after reaching a certain length? Who told the baby turtles to move towards the sea and not to the earth after they come out of their eggs? Who taught the bird how to make nests?
My friend, think with your heart and brain. If you're still lost, think about the following:
Do you know how to play safe?
Your point:
If there's no God and you do all what you want in life, then nothing will happen to you after life. But if there was God and you were mistaken, then you'll blame yourself FOREVER...
Believer's point:
If there's God and I followed His commands in life, then I'll be in Heaven after life FOREVER. But if there was no God and we're mistaken, then nothing bad will happen to us after life...
Now you know how to play-safe, in case you're not convinced?

God exists so that we can have faith in a religion so we have someplace to go when we die. But, then again he could have also been created by something else...

That my dear is something our human minds will not understand until we get to Glory and ask God himself. Here on earth we just have to believe it's true by faith.
