I wouldn't be surprised if people have. Religion is all about emotional manipulation. Just like many cults, Christianity likes to "love bomb" their converts so they bond with the group. At the same time, they try to convince their converts how evil all outsiders are.

Nah, I don't swing that way.

But seriously, I think people could feel a connection by going where he's been, following his footsteps, teachings, etc. I guess a sort of fondness by familiarity thing. I don't personally think of him as a non earthly creation, but I can understand a fondness towards a teacher.

Christians love Jesus much like they love their Mother.

That is a psychological reaction to your belief... if you believe in something too much it will get to you... the real faith is seen in your actions...

odd question....
I have never heard anything like this before in any conversations..
I love Jesus, He is my personal Savior, my best friend, my confidante and for this I am truly blessed... He is my Father, the one who guides me, answers my prayers, gives me blessings each day and I am so thankful for this....

VERY MUCH!

Isn't it SO hard to tell people JUST HOW MUCH Jesus loves us and wants ONLY OUR GOOD? Satan wants to bring hatred and hardship--but Jesus came so we can LOVE each other and ENJOY OUR LIFE!!

Absolutely. Although, unlike any love I might have with someone here on earth, he's still there.

Try reading the book of Hosea. I'm the prostitute, but he still loves me. *sighs, smiles, looks at the wall, thanks God*
