Yep, some times it is. If you have more than one person that is trying to name it that is when it gets hard.

I always like to use real people names for pets, like Sam or Lola. I don't like names like Princess. Another thing I like is to take the origin of the dog - for example if it's a shitzu, I think they originate from China, so look up chinese or even japanese words or names.

i'm very picky about names-not only does it have to sound right, it has to have the right meaning & match the dog's appearence &/ personality

Nope....if somebody is too stupid to even NAME a dog-IT DOESN'T CARE!-they shouldn't have one.
