Yeah, God's there, even when your earthly father fails you. I would know. All my life my dad has been an alcoholic. He hasn't been the best father to me. He supports us financialy, but that's all he really offers me. Emotionaly I cling to God. When my dad yells at me, I go into my room and cry to God. I ask God why it's like this, and he calms me down in a way. God's been there when my dad has not been, and I'm sure He's there for anyone else who needs Him.

God is always there for you, for all of us. He is a perfect loving, kind, forgiving Father who will never let you down.
Sometimes our earthly parents may let us down, even though they truly love us. They are human, they are not perfect as God is perfect. Gods love for us is never selfish, He always has "Our" best interests at heart. God is never stressed out or too busy to care for our needs. God never needs a break from us.
God's love for each and everyone of us is always available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. God is never impatient with us.
He treats us with the utmost care for our feelings and our fragile emotions.
God Bless You!! Peace.

No, and no. Sorry, but trying to make me feel bad about my father so that I'll buy into your religion just won't work.

First, my father is a great guy who got me off to a great start in life. Secondly, God doesn't exist. He doesn't do anything for anybody. However, people tend to be superstitious, so they like to believe in things like God.

"The righteous will live by their faith." (Micah 6:8)

No matter what the circumstances, we live by faith.

"Suffering brings perserverance, perserverance brings character, character brings hope." (Romans something or other I don't remember the exact reference)

Suffering makes you a better person.

"God is slow to anger but abounding in love." (Jonah 4: something)

God still loves you, no matter what.

Basically, no matter what your earthly dad did to you, God in Heaven is there to help you. I don't care what you say about how your life is crappy, you live by faith. I don't care what you say about how your dad left you and your mom alone with less than an adequate income, it's meant to make you a better person. I don't care if you want to curse God for the wrongs in your life, he still loves you.

G.B.

Yes, He is your HEAVENLY FATHER.

My brother-in-law has gone through those feelings.
He NEVER KNEW his dad, and he has had to work through
feelings of bitterness and resentment. BUT, when he found out God was his Heavenly FATHER--HE WAS SOOO HAPPY!!!!

Now he is so contented and peaceful.

You can ALWAYS call on God--He is RIGHT THERE, beside you--with you when you go---with you when you sleep.
Isn't it wonderful that God loves us sooo much!?
