females in the army, can they opt to wear slacks insted of the dress skirts in formal uniforms?

Women dress the same as the men and use their "skirts" only for inspection. My daughter's been in the Army for 6 years and I honestly never saw her wear her skirt, but she had to have skirt and blouse pressed and ready for inspection.

skirts considered Class A uniform, only worn for inspections and when others in class A's. otherwise they wear same as the males.

As far as I know, yes, unless they are in formation for something like a Class A Inspection. Then everyone has to be the same.
