I am now 65.had a lens implant done on my right eye 20 years ago...and it is stil fine!. i was one of the youngestpeople to have an implant at that time. surgery was done with local anesthetic and light medication. it was an outpatient procedure. I rested a few days , then went back to work in a week. Had a little discomfort, but not bad. I understand now that the procedure is even easier and has an even shorter recovery time. There are several websites with info...one is listed below. Basically, they make a small incision in the eye, slip out your clouded lens and slip in the artificial lens. Hope all goes well for you.

Depends on the type - they can use a laser to break up pieces but typically they cut open the eye and use a vaccum type tool and suck it out. Your eye is numb so you don't know what is going on but you are awake. I've had both eyes done now (I had a different type because I'm young-more of a spider web than the standard "blob"). Your doctor should have a video that you can watch to see what will happen (mine did).

i became interior an same situation as you, in common words my canines became 2 years previous. i somewhat regarded into the experts and cons and the cons outweighed the experts. i did not do the surgical operation on my canines, in common words because there have been more effective cons then experts in my canines case ( problems with complet resourceful and prescient loss, lack of life for the period of surgical operation, ocular infections, resourceful and prescient in common words in part restored and no garentee the cateracts gained't come lower back). i might want to judge it more effective seriouse in the experience that they believe its can make a contribution to glaucoma, even though it varies from affected individual to affected individual. you should judge the time-honored of existence on your puppy. His resourceful and prescient may be slightly impared yet i do not imagine which will dramatically result his high quality of existence, esp. in case you do not have a million, six hundred to throw into the wind, in hopes 6 to twelve moths later the cateracts do not come lower back. i might want to analyze it more effective with the for the the reason why your canines has cateracts, if age isn't the in common words contributing component. I desire you the finest of success.
