Well, I can't say if there is or isn't ..about your Uncle , I'm sorry...I'm pretty sure he's okay.
Heaven and hell are a western culture mentality......
And according to our past it was used in such a form to controll people to cooperate with the government at that time or die ( go to hell)
When you think of hell you think of fire right? And what does satan hold? A pitch fork right? And what fuels the fire? Hay? So hay created fires that destroyed peoples houses...and was AKA known as hell...And what does satan look like? A goat right? And what does the goat do all day? have sex...... and sex has always been looked upon as a sin...
so there is hell for you..
I believe there is a God and there was Jesus....but i'm not religious because the past has taught me no less than a controlling scheme to keep people from over throwing the government....And there's alott of controversy. But that's what I believe....

I have not had an easy life in certain aspects and have come to rely on God for my strength in most everything I do. I consider my Lord of Savior my Heavenly Father because my Earthly father left me and my 4 sisters and it says in the Bible that God will never leave us or forsake us. So I choose to be close to my Heavenly Father and support the fact that there is a real Heaven and a real Hell for those who do not call on Jesus' name and believe that He died for our sins and rose on the 3rd day to become victorious over death and the grave.
To the other part of your question: If your uncle loved the Lord and gave his heart to Jesus-was saved-then he is walking the streets of Heaven and is probably very happy.

Yes, I do believed there are heaven and hell. Or even spirits that live around us. I had been told lots of stories about this. And by watching movies and real stories on discorvery channel. people who are produced those movies or stories, they sure did lots of researched of people who had encountered with dead and came back or people who had experiment with this. I am sure there is a place on the other side for our soul to rest when we pass away. Behonest, I am not afraid of death, but I am afraid of the cause of the death( how I am going to die?), because everyone have to die soon or later. It's not like I am the only person who gonna go. I am sure your uncle now rest in peace, and he must be really happy to know that there is someone like you who is still cares about him.

A straight no
As god does not exist and all religion is a crutch for the simple-minded who are unable to accept reality or who were so thoroughky brainwashed as children that they cannot (FEAR not) shake it off, it follows that all the garbage that is associated with such a belief system is also false.
In plain language, all religion is lies.
The jesus-freaks want it to be true so much that they believe it. Just wanting a good idea to be true does not make it so.
Accept reality and free yourselves of all this nonsense, just as the modern peoples rejected Zeus and Ra and Thor, etc, etc.
Atheism is truly the only logical choice that a free-thinker can make. God-botherers and bible-thumpers are living in the Dark Ages. Hey! It's 2007. Didn't they notice?

I work in the hospital and a really truly beleive there is a heaven . we had a patient that was reaching up to the sky and kept saying,"God is waiting for me" and "i see heaven" along with" the angels are comming". His vital signs and all his lab work looked great, everybody thought we was hallucinating but he died totally unexpectedly that night. It gives me chills eveytime I talk about it. I am a religious person as well but that really cemented things for me

there's really heaven but dont believe that people are going there immediately after they die.... it's not true... dead people's souls has their place and they have to spend time there with other souls and wait until god do his judgement at what they called "end of the world"...
my grandma died too last june... and eventhough i would like to believe she's in heaven now, i know she's not there yet...
i'm reading the bible often and i've been searching answer to that question too and i've found some clues written that dead people's souls won't go directly to heaven after they die...
when jesus christ died for 3days... in that 3days where was he before he went to heaven? . . they say he went to the world of deads...
but it's ok though... we're not expecting that world of deads is a scary place... i assume god made it, somehow, a nice place for them, and for us when we die.
;-)

no... sorry for your uncle but religion was design to explain aspects of life that we could not understand. Gradually throughout history, people have found explanations to these questions and science has replaced accepted theology. Eventually this will happen with the idea of 'heaven'...
... at least among intellectuals

of course. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through me." And if Jesus said that, can't deny it. He also said he is going to prepare a place for us. In this place, there is no tears, no evil. Heaven is the place to be!!

When we die a flood of memories return to us. One of those memories is that of our life in Heaven before we were born on the Earth. When we enter the gates of Heaven it will be like returning home after being away at summer camp.
