because of the death of President Gerald Ford. I was told that the flag will stay at half staff for 30 days. I don't know if that part is true or not.

Because Gerald Ford died. Someone ordered flags to be flown at half-mast for 30 days after. 3/4 mast would be sooo much more interesting, though. :D

Usually in memorial to someones death in valor and memory of their courageosnes in some tragic event ! However I believe that the symbol of a flag is divisive of peoples, causing people to unite in their region, probably taken from two words like feel - Lag
Like jet lag. Ultimately your diving your self from other nations. So burn the flag but not the spirit of common people united on one planet.
