The Probation Officer files this with the Court when the (adult) probationer has failed to comply with the terms of probation. The PO is asking that the Court arrest the person and have them serve their sentence in jail instead of on probation.

I'm no expert, but it sounds like someone's in deep doo-doo.

To revoke something is to cancel it. So if they are revoking a suspended sentence (which is a good thing) and probation (which is another good thing) then it sounds to me like they are re-instating the sentence and canceling the probation.

That just means that we (the court) are going to let you go free for now provided you don't get into any more trouble. if you do, then we're going to give you this initial trouble back to go along with the new trouble
