well i wouldn't leave my computer in there but i do leave my ipod in my truck all the time and about the only thing i've had a problem with it is that i usualy just pause the music when i unhook it so when i go to plug it back in i usualy have to turn it off for a few seconds then turn it back on and plug it into the adapter but that is probably cause of the battery going dead .. other than that i haven't had a problem with mine and i have an ipod shuffle.
