abuse sure doesn't help a person or a car or a dog or anything.
can abuse be so severe that a persons mind goes for a walk to think sees stuff only it can see and then comes back sure why not .
dreams are the minds way of dealing with confusion .
when sleep does not provide enough time for all the dreams needed some times we dream some more when we are awake.
what i see in my dreams is real. i don't know that anyone else sees it but its real . this woman is seeing real things only she can see . when we see them when we are awake some people call them visual hallucinations
she hasn't so much gone crazy as she has gone to a place where she feels safe and where she can think .
how to get her back . provide her with a place that is just as comfortable and safe as her mind. you can help with that so can the rest of her family and her friends . the doctor will help too .
crazy no recovering yes. .

obviously, that is an truly ill and abusive guy. you're perplexed as to how he can say he loves you after abusing you. i'll wash that up for you, he's impressive. impressive human beings exhibit impressive habit that confuses human beings. would not that make experience? If he were regularly occurring, you'll not be perplexed. you should have had psychologically abusive mothers and fathers because someone raised by technique of healthful mothers and fathers might want to by no ability stay with a guy like your husband. someone raised by technique of healthful mothers and fathers would not doubt their judgment of an abusive individual. once you've had abusive mothers and fathers, you do not run from an abusive individual. You stay and wrestle, you question your self. you want help because you'll %. yet another abusive individual in case you go away this nut. locate a robust therapist.

Don't use the word crazy. Too much abuse, something traumatic, can make the mind shut off for it's own protection. A person can become very cold. It takes time and patience. An incident like that can really damage a person emotionally.
People have different defense mechanisms.

Abuse can make you mentally ill. It sounds like your cousin is going through some kind of depression as well. I wouldn't go as far as calling her crazy, but there could be some issues there that may need the help of a psychologist or therapist.

Seeing things--after being beaten--could be physical (or mental).
I doubt she's making this up--she's been through a horrendous ordeal.
If she's not eating or drinking, this can harm her physical and mental health further. If she's not even drinking water, she could die in a short time. If she's not eating, she could still die--but would have more time.
Have the doctor refer her to a shrink--after they check her out further physically. I hope that she will come out of this okay.

Abuse can have different effects on different people, some people recover easier than others. It can make you mentally ill. It can cause several different mental illnessess.
Your cousin is not crazy, she just hasn't yet found anyone that can really, truly, help her through it. People wouldn't fake mental illness. It is serious.
Hope this helps : )

All types of abuse can make someone go nuts, I'm trying to put this lightly because I myself went through that ****. I'm sorry for your cousin, and I want her to know, that she's not alone. Talk to her let her know that there are people out there that know what she's going through.

yup it can
maybe she should get a possee together to beat up that husband
maybe then she could sleep ok, maybe with the ones who help her beat him up, humans like that sort of thing, in spite of how much we think we have evolved.
and , yeah, any sort of guilt or worry or unresolved anything can make you crazy and keep you awake
