I use to have problems with that too but what you have to do is get to know her first. but dont just talk to her if shes walking with friends out in the street and intraduce your self. If you have friends with you when you talk it really helps you out.

Just talk to her. Find out what you guys have in common or find out what she likes, read up on it and use that as a way to start conversations and then it'll flow from there.
