I have uncontrollable curls which I love. But every time I try and straighten my hair it always comes out wavy. I tried to blow dry it out I tried a flat iron and I've even used straightened products. Does anyone have suggestions??

this isn't meant to sound rude but i had extremely curly hair and i did straighten it with a anti-perm (chemical relaxer) which got rid of my curls all together except for the root which sucks and now my hair is extremely dried out and dead so don't use a relaxer try a different straightner all straightners are different what i would use is the maxiglide and get the beyound straign and the end solution. if you go to the maxiglide website it shows you a video of some people who have extremely curly hair and how they get nice straight hair good luck

I have used the Matrix Optismooth system, which is the same thing as the Japanese straightener (permanent chemical straightening). It worked really great for me. Essentially, it is just a perm, but in a really thick cream that weighs the hair down. As you comb the cream through, it starts to pull the hair straight and releases the curl.

Once the first part is done, you can actually go ahead and neutralize (so your curls are alot looser or result in just waves) or you can have your hair flat ironed then neutralized so that you have perfectly smooth, straight hair.

After it is done, though, you cannot use any kind of hair accessory for 2-3 days and you can't wash your hair for at least 2 days. You have to wear your hair straight down, no scrunchies, barettes, or clips.

Buy a corioliss pink flat iron. It also can create pretty loose curls. I have one, and I think it gets up to 200 degrees. My hair is not dried out because I use Redken Smooth Down Heat protection serum before I straighten my hair.

I would say try getting a relaxer, but that can really damage your hair also, but it would probably work, although you would probably lose your curls. As far as just wearing it straight sometimes, try getting a flat iron that gets really really hot. I have that problem with my hair sometimes, it just comes out wavy because the flat iron just doesnt get hot enough.

well... if you have tried everything try this:

1. take a shower and use a good shampoo and conditioner (I recommend Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine System or Pantene Pro-V Restoration) and wash two times.
2. Put in the serum that goes with the sleek and shine system (dont use two much or hair becomes too oily) and brush it in
3. blow dry your hair completey dry
4. now put serum (just a dime-sized)
5. now straighten

Hope this helped!

i have curly pffy hair too unfortunatly.but really dont wash your hair more than three times a week.if u do then ur hair will get dry and damaged.

if u want to straighten ur hair blow it out with a blowdryer and use a thermal spray.spray alittle more spray before u straighten.and never use oil and ur hair or let ur hair stlyist use a razor on ur hair [[if u straighten]] it cause x-treme split end

and never get a perm i did and it ruined my hair color and it looked dead and not flattering and dont get one if u have highlights eaither.
