I'm taking an art class and for one of my projects I want to transfer a photograph onto canvas. How can I do that as inexpensively as possible? I also don't want to hire someone to do it, I would like to do it myself.

Get some printable iron-on transfers and print your photo onto one of those then just iron it onto the canvas. Cheaper than a printing store.

If you want to paint the photo, you can color copy it onto a transparency and then use a tabletop projector to project the image onto the canvas and paint it that way. Probably any school would let you use the projector.
