There are two persons , one person called "A" is living a life based on evil. Does nothing but break the law, has several convictions for rape assault and murder. Makes an effort to ensure others are unhappy and miserable. Gets happiness and satisfaction out of seeing other peoples suffering.

The other person "B" is the exact opposite, lives life on a positive note. Helpful to all, genuinly cares for others and has never committed a crime.

Now on their death beds person "A" accepts Jesus and "B" does not.
The question is.....why does "A" deserve to go to heaven and "B" does not and how does this make sense?

Try to answer without quoting any scriptures.

The question is.....why does "A" deserve to go to heaven and "B" does not and how does this make sense?

It does not make sense. Especially when the word "deserve" is used. Everyone should pay the price for their misdeeds, right? Misdeeds "deserve" a penalty. Fortunately the debt owed for "A" and "B"'s misdeeds was paid by One who loves both so much that He sent His only son to pay the penalty. Forgiveness of such debt cannot be earned it is a gift

"A" and "B", while vastly different in their behavior and contribution to society, are carrying some debt for their sins. That debt prevents eternal fellowship with the One who loves us. The good news is that simply by acknowledging their debt and saying yes to the One who covered that debt, they can be received into fellowship with God.

Undeserved forgiveness is a gift once accepted that results in fellowship with God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The response of the forgiven person is devotion to God.

It does not make sense when viewed from our human perspective of what is fair. When we view "B" as having done good things and deserves heaven but refuses Jesus and receives no heavenly reward.

God's deal is simple; forgiveness and salvation cost more than you can pay. So He offers it FREE to those who accept the gift of His Son Jesus.

Okay, I'm brutally honest too. No ********. That's also God's philosophy. He knows that person B was full of crap. Parading around, being pious. We don't know what was in that person's soal. Only God does. Person B may have only been doing all this stuff out of fear. God doesn't have a running tally of good works. That's the human way. Jesus's death was to make us clean. Person A is clean now. All the stench and filth from is life of sin is gone. Like he just had a bath in mountain hot springs you know? Crystal clear. God loves both A and B and has been waiting for the moment they will finally see it. Person A saw it.

When all men are born they are born as sinners. Not that a baby has committed sin, but because that child is living in a fallen world. All people are sinners and all sin is bad to God, He is perfect. So the nice fellow, who does all these wonderful things during his life still has that old sin nature. The guy who was the rotten apple, finally realizes the grave error of his way, he is truly sorrowing over his miserable life and makes a heart decision to ask for God's mercy and forgiveness, is given what he asks for. It can not just be lip service and phony words, it has to be genuine. Only God knows that fact. What you have to understand is that no one deserves Heaven, none of us. We all deserve hell. It is the grace and mercy of God that spares anyone of us. I know this is hard to accept, it is difficult to believe that we are that bad. But we are, look around the world, like Saddam Hussein, sure that was him and not you or I, but that potential for evil is in all of us. Given the right set of circumstances at the right moment in time we would all do some pretty evil stuff. I hope I helped you to understand a bit better. Don't despair, God wants all men to be saved and it really doesn't take much.

Sin must be gotten rid of to live in perfect heaven. As inherently sinful people, we cannot do that, hence the life, death, and victory over death by Jesus (who is God the Son) - the ONLY way. And yes, he is generous enough to forgive a truly repentant "A". BUT Jesus plainly talked about rewards in heaven. So, for salvation you get there. For anything good done for God on top of that, it just gets better. Likewise, the devil will suffer more than anybody in hell, etc.

While I understand that since I am a Christian, you might dismiss my answer, I will try anyway.

First, you must understand that person A and person B are both sinners. Just because they haven't sinned in the same "quantity" does not make them any less equally sinners. For example, if I gave you two glasses of water and told you to put a cup of sewage in one of the glasses of water and a teaspoon in the other, both glasses are impure.

Now then, "accepting Jesus" is accepting His payment for sin. He paid for everyone's sin by dying on the cross. Only those who accept that payment are cleansed of sin and allowed into the holiness of God's presence.

To me, it would be the ultimate shame for someone to life a selfless, caring life, and then because he chose to reject the payment for the sins he did have, he is eternally doomed to pay for them himself.

Again, that's my opinion as a Christian - I tried not to quote Scripture, even though my answer is based on the truths contained therein.

Hope this answer gives you a perspective to think about.

As has been advised to you, purely ignore approximately faith and stay your existence and end stressful approximately soul as that's something which you nor your mom, brother or father nor absolutely everyone else has. that's purely something made up by christianity to make you and all people who're purely not questioning have confidence which you have something to maintain. not real. the 1st church of christianity replace into the Catholic church, Roman Catholic and all of the different denominations i.e. Baptist and so on are referred to as Protestant churches, yet all are christian churches. okay then....

it's like this. To get to heaven you have to meet requirements:
earnestly saved, repents of sins, does not try to exploit God's laws

if person A got saved and changed, then the get Heaven as a reward. If person A got saved and went back to all that killin and crap, then God'll be the judge of that...

Being a good person doesn't amount to anything if you don't meet requirements. Being cruel will get you arrested. Basically, by refusing Christ (saying no or making excuses is refusing) you've just done the one thing that prevents you from being a truly good person.

Because once a person accepts Christ they are cleansed of all of their prior sins. It makes absolutely no difference how BAD they were before they accept Christ. What matters is that they DO accept Christ. Now, I think anyone can understand how confusing it would be that person "B" did not make the cut, but the same thing applies to him as to anhyone else. There is NO eternal life UNTIL you accept Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. Reason? He willingly died on the Cross to save mankind from Hell. Salvation is there for EVERYONE who chooses to accept it, but unless you ASK Christ into your heart, He will not come. He will not force His way in, for Christ is a gentleman. He offers a wonderful gift, free to everyone for the taking, but you must ASK for it. He gently beckons through the Holy Spirit, but He will not force anything on anyone. I hope this helps.

The point is, that no matter how good B was, they are not sinless and sin sepperates us from God.

Person a doesnt "deserve" heaven any more than B does, but, if they are truely sorry for all the wrong they have done and ask forgiveness through Christ, they will have it. Person B doesnt confess they have ever done wrong, and if they're human, they have. The do not come to God through the Sacrifice HE made so they cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Sin cannot enter Heaven so EVERYONE... has to have their sins removed.

Well, let me make clear that person B also has sin, every human being does. Person A goes to Heaven b/c they accepted Christ's gift of salvation, and repented of their sins. Person B did not.

It's a free gift, you can't earn it w/ good works. So people who think that being good is what it's all about...they've got another surprise in store for them.

Thats not to say that Christians can be mean...on the contrary, accepting Christ means you choose to follow Him, and live the way He did.

Hope that helped,
God bless you.
