Why do i see sparkles in my eyes?

Question

I always see black or white sparkles in my eyes. You know when you have your picture taken and the flash makes your eyes weird or when you stare directly into the sun the same thing happens? well i see sparkles for no reason at all. Does anyone know why this could be happening?

It could be a sign of glaucoma--pressure builds in the eye and cause sudden blindness and glaucoma can also be a sign of diabetes. Are you 14? cause 14 is very young for that but the others are right, this isn't something you need to sit on. If you are 14, talk to your school nurse about it. Or, google the name of the city you're in, and the words free, glaucoma testing or look for the American Diabetes Association in your area in the white pages. Call them and they can tell you where you can get tested for both--diabetes and glaucoma--for free most likely.

Like black dots that float ? .. It depends how many you see and how often this happens .. also your age. Have you had an eye exam by a Opthamologist ? (You don't find them where they make / sell glasses .. those "eye exams" are not done by Opthamologists). You should have a professional eye exam at least once every 2 years. Good Luck ! :)

Yea.
Evry person on Earth has it.
When you sudenly look at something very very bright,
your eyes have to take a few seconds to adjust.

Those may be floaters and you need to see someone for an eye exam.
