Anyone used E Tickets with Continental airlines, between the uk and the usa? Anyone had any problems with them at all?

Never used E Tickets before, will they get swapped for normal tickets at check in or is it a matter of showing checkin my details and then thats it? Also on the return flight will i have to show them the check in details again?

If you are travelling International, you cant print your boarding passes online, FYI. E-tickets ARE your ticket, dont confuse them with a boarding pass, which is what you will get when you check in. Almost every airline, in every country, with the acception of a few, are all e-ticketed unless you request a paper ticket. So many people lose the paper ticket or it never arrives in the mail, so e-ticketing is the absolute safest way to go. You have nothing to keep up with and all you have to do is show your passport and know your flights. You can print the itinerary if that will help you know your flight times, but all you have to do is provide your Passport, your flight number or destination or connection city and the time you depart, all we do is look up your name with that information.

Most e-ticketing is flawless and no problems....there is always room for error or a glitch, but they are so few and far between I wouldnt even worry. You already have a ticket, you'll just get a boarding pass at check-in, enjoy your flight and welcome to the 21st Century

E-tickets are just a way of saving both the travel agency (Expedia in this case) the expense of mailing your tickets and the airline the expense of printing them. You will have to show your passport at the Continental check-in counter and let them know where you're going and that's it! It would be helpful to have your printed itinerary from the Expedia Web site but you could live without it. (Same thing on the return flight.)

Etickets are almost all we issue these days. You just have to go to the counter and they will check your ID and print your boarding passes. Easy as pie! You can also go online at Continental's web page 24 hours before your flight, check in and print your boarding passes there. You go to the airport, check in your luggage and you are on your way.
