If you do not have her registration papers from the breeder or the person you bought her from, no you can NOT get her registered.
Also she would need to be 2 years old,
have had & passed all health testing (not just simple vet exams), have an impeccible pedigree, have been shown & pointed or championed or evalauted by at least 3 unbiased, breed knowledgable people/judges to make sure she meets breed standard, all registration paperwork would need to be in order.
You also need to be aware that breeding is a BIG responsabiltyand it can put your girl at risk for emergency c-sections, mastitis, uterine infections, etc.
Also the longer she is left intact the higher her risk becomes of getting mammary cancer, reproductive cancers, and a very, very serious uterine infection that is often fatal.
There is a lot more involved in breeding then simply mating two dogs & producing a litter.
ALL dogs who are issued an AKC ILP # MUST be spay/neutered.Proof MUST be sent along with the application.

APRI registration is not worth the paper its printed on. The registry is used mainly by puppymills and BYB so they can tell unwitting buyers their pups are registered. Not a lie, but they are NOT registered with a legit Kennel Club like the AKC or Canadian KC. If she was sold to you as a Schnauzer and appears not to be one, then this is false advertising and you paid for one thing but got another. You may have some sort of legal standing. If not, then chalk it up as a lesson learned about buying puppies without doing proper research.

akc will only register her if her parents are registered with them. depending on where you got her from they should give you the papers. if not then you prolly cant register her with akc. now you can get her a lipn number with them and she would be able to some of the akc activites but she has to be spayed.
also since you are planning on having the papers only to breed her you can not charge people more cause the pups have papers, you can only charge lots of money if there is a campion in the blood lines. or else you can be reported and lose the right to ever regester a litter...
and with her being an older dogs its not real wise to breed her anyway, just enjoy her as she is and find other ways of getting money.

If both parents were registered then your dog would be recorded on the records of the breeder. You would have to approach the original breeder in the first instance and form my vague recollections of a past colleague who bred show dogs... i think that the pups would also be documented in the kennel club register somehow but they only rely on the breeders info and I think it comes back to you approaching the original breeder. Just remember that the papers will come with a hefty price tag.
But unless both parents were registered AND the breeder was a member of the kennel club then FORGET IT.

one she's an older dog. spay her or find her an owner who will. second if you don't have proof that her parents were both registered then no you can't get papers on her. if she didn't come with papers at least, you should not breed her. you know nothing of her line and genetic problems you might be passing off onto unsuspecting buyers of her pups. do what's best for this older girl's health, have her spayed and love her for a pet.

Check out the source link for info on registering your dog with the AKC.... on the subject of breeding you probably shouldn't breed that dog if you're not a breeder.... No one needs more bad dogs being bred by people who do not know what their doing.

Unless you have registration papers for both her parents, along with their bloodlines, you cannot register her with the AKC. And if she's not registered with them , you cant make a profit, dont be fooled by some of the other "kennel clubs" who are giving registies to any new of these new "designer" breeds (aka mutts). Those registries are considered worthless by anyone with actual papers.

why on earth would you want to breed this dog... have her fixed and enjoy her..... unless you feel that she has something to offer to her breed.. then show her , get her championship and then think about breeding her......... what you want is called an ILP number,,, akc.org... will supply you with information... but i do believe a dog with an ilp number is INeligible for papers on the litter......... do not promote backyard irresponsible breeding please

the only way to get papers is knowing the dam and the sire's names. you need to contact the breeder to find this info. once you have that then try and contact the american kennel association to see if you can still get papers on yours.
