At John 17:3, Jesus called his Father the ONLY true God. Ps. 83:18 says that Jehovah is the Most High. He lives in the invisible heavens.

You are asking the great question that almost everyone asks at some point in their life.

You'll get as many answers there are religions and more.

In my faith, The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and what I believe is basically this.

God is our literal Heavenly Fahter, the father of our Spirit. He lives near a planet named Kolob, though we are not told what the name of that planet is, anywhere in any scripture.

He is a divine resurrected and Immortal being with a body of flesh and bone, but not blood; we are told in the scriptures instead of blood, some other more perfected substance flows in the viens of a resurrected, immortal being.

He is the Father of the Spirit of Jesus Christ as well as of the Body of Jesus Christ. He is not Jesus, they are both seperate divine resurrected, immortal beings.

HE LOVES US ALL, we are all his children!

The best things you can do to learn of God, is to read all the scriptures prayerfully for yourself. First time it can be hard, but each time you read all the scriptures, it gets easier and easier to understand, especially if you will pray for help from Heavenly Father as you read the scriptures, to understand them. Then pray after each time you read to understand and to retain what you have learned.

Knowing him is a Journey that takes time and effort, but He promises to be there for each individual that seeks Him.

Nobody can prove any gods, much less a specific god, exist; many people will tell you their god exists but no others, but will never be able to prove it, even if they think so. Some will threaten you with eternal pain or promise eternal joy to get you to believe in their god; these are all stories, created for people who were scared long before we understood the universe. Now we have no more reason for these superstitions.

God is the beginning and the end. He's our Father and Creator of the universe. He's right here. He's over there. He's everywhere.
