Next door's cat. If it doesn't stop that infernal row I'll go out and give it a kick.

I doubt very much that we on Earth are the brightest specimens in this galaxy. There is a whole Universe `out there`, so why would we be the only living creatures in it ? What would be the purpose of empty planets, no function or energy would waste matter on something like that. Everything on Earth has an order and a use, nothing that comes from nature is wasted, so it is surely the same on other planets. There will be life, maybe not in the form that we know it, or indeed are able to recognise it, but it is there. There is a reason for everthing, how and why it has evolved we have yet to discover. Some believe that an Almighty Being or a God made all this. Yet we know that no being as we understand the word, could have made it. Science can give a far better explanation of the creation of the world than religion can, yet we still do not know. All my adult life I have looked for proof of a God, it is a nice `comfortable` human feeling to think there is a God, but science has information stacked too high against this theory. There is certainly something out there, and if someone could prove that it is a God, I would be very happy.

There is no such thing as god. However there is a very high probability that there is something out there somewhere.
Think about the size of the universe and the fact that it may not end and what is outside the universe, if you fill in the gaps with a god then religion is for you, if your mind is still boggled yet you continue without a god then good for you because it is impossible to comprehend the vast masiveness of nothing yet it is easy to be weak minded and let 'god ' do all the work for you.
but yes i think there is life out there.

Exactly! It is somehow 'uncool' to say you believe in God but alright to say you believe in 'something out there' as you put it.
The picture of God as an old man and a white beard is only a representation,He does exist,we believers have evidence of this in our lives every day...I don't think the atheists like that idea at all.

There's lots of things out there.
Switch off your PC and go 'out there' to have a look.
As far as a religious supreme being or other intelligent life is concerned, nobody knows for certain.
My opinion is that life is too complex to just appear from nowhere & evolve spontaneously. It's also highly possible that life exists on one of the millions of planets out there.

TV Licensing in a big van, and the wind that just knocked over my fence ( but it might have been the hand of god ), though TV Licensing definitely represent the devil - I haven't had a TV for years and they still hassle me!

It's their soul telling them that there is a God but their own human mind and intellect is stopping them so they get confused but know there is something and don't know what.

Choice. Chose the right actions and have the right thoughts, harm no one or thing and you won't go wrong. Intellect gives us the option of conceptualising, or not.

That is for you to find out, does the universe have a meaning? is there a point to life?
Or when you die is that it? Is there no point to existence?
