is the world we have nowadays the result of years and years of christianity?
Do we have to be thankful or ask for explanations?

ok sorry i meant occidental world not the whole world.
i think it is lasting a bit of historical and cultural knowledge not being able to agree on the fact that christianity is the basis for our occidental culture. I am not chrisitian myself but i think if anyone has a minimum level of historical knowledge he/she cannot disagree with that

Different Christian establishments have ruled large parts of the globe for many years, but then it is only a partial rule since the reformation, so the real years of Christian rule were from 900 ad to 1700. The Muslim Religion has ruled for much longer, despite only coming to the scene in 640AD- as the political and religious control is not separated in Islam.

Christianity owes it's existence to Pagan religions like Mythraism worship of Isis & Horace and Arborism. All these cults were amalgamated into Christianity by the Romans before they made it compulsary so that it would have the widest (catholic) appeal.
You could be burned alive, stoned or mauled by animals if you believed in Christianity but when the Romans decided the Empire should be Christian, the Bishops burned, stoned and murdered so-called non-believers. Great religion and so Godlike. Not.

Christianity set the world back 2000 years. So no, I would say we have nothing to be thankful for. They gave us such things as the Dark Ages, The Inquisition and The Crusades just to name a few. Not to mention all the native cultures they have destroyed and lives that have been ruined.

Christianity has no temporal or expansionists aspirations.Have you noticed that the Vatican has no desire for military might ?The Crusades came as a result of provocation.
