The Kingdom of God comes upon you when you accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord & Savior and you become born again by the power of the Holy Spirit. The Kingdom of God and the Kingdom Of Heaven are two different kingdoms. The Kingdom of heaven is a literal, physical kingdom that will occur at the second coming of Jesus Christ. The Kingdom of God is a spiritual kingdom and was set up in the hearts of believers when they accept Jesus Christ as personal Lord & Savior and you become born again by the power of the Holy Spirit. Both kingdoms came in at the same time but the Kingdom of heaven was put on hold due to the disobedience of the nation of Israel and the kingdom will not be in effect until the second coming of Jesus Christ. The Kingdom of God was ushered in as the spiritual kingdom and remains. The Bible says in Luke 17:20-21 (KJV) that "And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you." The Bible also says in Romans 14:17 (KJV) that "For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost." Hopefully this will help you. If you have any questions please IM me on Yahoo messenger. The Bible says that you need to be born again. The Bible says in John 3:3 (KJV) that "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." What this means is that unless you are born again you cannot even see God's kingdom. The Kingdom of God is spiritual. The Bible says in Romans 10:9-13 (KJV) on how to be born again. The Bible says that "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." By being born again is the only way to get to heaven and that is through Jesus Christ. If people do not accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord & Savior they will die in their sins and will go to hell. There is no middle ground for people to go to. It is either heaven or hell.

Nobody knows anything about God. The idea that God has a kingdom is a creation of men, who imagined all that baloney. The Bible is a flawed, man-made book. Ask your teacher who wrote the Bible. Nobody really knows who wrote the different books, but what is sure is....it was not God or Jesus. I too, was a Catholic once. I went to Catholic schools from K-12. I was indoctrinated into a bastardized version of Christianity, and now realize that Catholics are not Christians. You must recite the rosary, right? Read Matthew 6:7 and ask your teacher how reciting repetitive prayers can be justified. Ask where "Purgatory" is found in the flawed Bible. There are many more controversies, so do your own research.....unless you want to remain ignorant.

Genesis 3:15 Is the first prophecy and it sets the theme for the whole Bible, including Revelation.
God's sovereignty. His right to rule, was challenged and his good name besmirched.
God uses the Kingdom rule of his Son, Jesus Christ, to vindicate his sovereignty and clear all reproach from his name.
Genesis 2:16,17; 3:1-6;
The original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth, that seduced Eve by its cunning. Revelation 12:9; 2Corinthians 11:3
4 God’s Kingdom is a government established by Jehovah God with a King chosen by God. Who is the King of God’s Kingdom? Jesus Christ. Jesus as King is greater than all human rulers and is called “the King of those who rule as kings and Lord of those who rule as lords.” (1 Timothy 6:15) He has the power to do far more good than any human ruler, even the best among them.
5 From where will God’s Kingdom rule? Well, where is Jesus? You will remember learning that he was put to death on a torture stake, and then he was resurrected. Shortly thereafter, he ascended to heaven. (Acts 2:33) Hence, that is where God’s Kingdom is—in heaven. That is why the Bible calls it a “heavenly kingdom.” (2 Timothy 4:18) Although God’s Kingdom is in heaven, it will rule over the earth.—Revelation 11:15.
6 What makes Jesus an outstanding King? For one thing, he will never die. Comparing Jesus with human kings, the Bible calls him “the one alone having immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light.” (1 Timothy 6:16) This means that all the good that Jesus does will last. And he will do great and good things.

The kingdom of God is the church. In Acts 2 the kingdom and the church are spoken of in the present tense form.In Matt. 16:17-19 Jesus told Peter that he would build his church on truth and would give him the keys to the kingdom of heaven also. What did Jesus do tell Peter he was going to build his church and give him keys for something else. THEY ARE THE SAME. Acts 2:47 says Praising God , and having favor with all the people, and the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved. Also Col. 1:13 says Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.

The Kingdom of God is the governmental authority of God. It is a spiritual realm where we are under the authority and protection of God and His Christ, the Lord Jesus.
The Bible teaches plainly that all moral beings are under one of two authorities; namely, the Kingdom of God or the Kingdom of Satan. Men are by nature sinners and come under the authority of Satan. They are blinded to their true condition (II Corinthians 4:4; Ephesians 2:1-3)
When Christ died on the cross, He destroyed Satan's #1 weapon - the guilt of transgressed law. When one believes from the heart that Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh, died for our sins and was raised again from the dead, it results in a moral and spiritual transformation which the Bible refers to as being born again. This is described in Colossians 1:13: "For He has rescued us from the dominion (literally, "authority") of darkness, and transferred us into the Kingdom of the Son of His love."
I can testify that this happened to me personally some 36 years ago, and I have been in the Kingdom of God ever since.

The Kingdom of God is within each one of us. It is the Word of God manifested in action, in community, in spirit. If we abide by the Will of God, we are inhabitants of the Kingdom of God.
The Bible promises that one day the Kingdom of God will become manifest throughout the world. This will be the establishment of a world civilization based on spiritual principles, the promised Golden Age awaited by all religions.

From a Catholic persepctive, the Kingdom of God is probably the Church, which exists in two forms: militant (on earth) and triumphant (in heaven). You probably want to look this up in the Catholic Encyclopedia: http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/08646a.htm
Whoops - Father K already posted this link. Never mind!

It's a state of being.
Having no wants, perfect harmony within yourself, etc.
Not exactly sure how Catholics define it, hopefully another user can explain more along that line.
