Sometimes, i hear 'conversations' in my head before i sleep. its not what i would describe as hearing voices, just a ringing noise of people talking (i dont really register/remember any words from the conversations). Im not mad, but i do have an active and restless mind. i dont see where these convos come into play. Weird but i wouldnt change it for the world lol

I think if you are semi-conscious as just before falling asleep it is like a "distant" dream. Your restless mind needs a little while as you relax to "wind down' and as it does so, becomes semiconscious.I am more inclined to think this, due to your saying you don't remember any words from the conversations. "Hearing voices" (mental voices) like in hallucinations may be conversations but is unmistakeably other and usually unwelcome; you said you, "wouldn't change it for the world". For this reason I wouldn't go to a psychiatrist as they are "pill crazy" and might prescribe an anti-psychotic.

I'm 17 and I do the same thing. I've never understood it.

It's usually before I go to sleep or when I first wake up. It can be the most random of conversations, nothing that even pertains to me. Like a couple debating about going on vacation.

I guess we just make up stories, or we have some kind of psychic channeling.

Or of course schizophrenia.

may just be a over active mind to much thinking to process in your mind ... the mind is the last thing to shut down before sleep. ..sometimes we go over all that happens during the day and instead of you just falling asleep your thinking of the days events....hard to actually say what your hearing...

Most people would say they come from the deeper parts of your mind; stuff you don't hear unless you are very relaxed like when your falling asleep.

Well, if you really, truly thought you were nuts, I'd be able to say with certainity that you're sane. Crazy people always think they're in their right minds. I'm not saying that you are nuts - but you should still try and get some professional advice.
