I've asked this once before, but I am curious to hear responses a second time. I am 21, he's 31. He's my French instructor (also French). I fell in love about two years ago with him (and no, not becaue he's French. I love his brain, his intelligence, and he reminds me of myself). You don't have to tell me that this always happens (I know), and you don't need to inform me that he could lose his job (these things I am aware of). I've always told myself that a ten-year difference is my limit (age isn't my concern, please don't address it). My question is, what would you do? He has no clue about how I feel (at least I don't think. I've never shown it). Would you tell him how you feel at the end of the semester before transferring elsewhere? How would you tell him? Also, for someone who is supposed to act professional on his job, is there a way I may be able to tell if he may be even a little bit attracted? Body language? MATURE ADVICE PLEASE.

I would definitely wait until you're either done with school or done taking his classes; this way you won't have that student-teacher connection. Signs he might be interested include lots of eye contact, paying more attention to you in class, maybe letting you slide a bit when it comes to assignments; he's still a man so I would assume that he has the same response as other men do when they like a woman. I know if I was in this situation I wouldn't have the "balls" to actually say something to him, but if you do then just come out and say it. Maybe you could also write him a thank you note, many students do this for their professors. In the note you could maybe slip your phone number or email and make it a little flirty. Again, these are just some of my personal ideas and they may or may not appeal to you. Whatever happens, I hope it all works out for the best. Good luck, you have more "balls" then I do!

These people that do comment on age are morons...I'm 21 and I'm currently with a 30 year old, I've never been happier!

I also have a crush on my professor. I'm afraid if I tell him at the end, I will make a fool out of myself. But you only live once, right?

Just com up to him and ask strait forward with the big smile if he has a girlfriend, say that you think that he is the hottest professor in college.Believe me that will make him feel very good. And than depends how he reacts.

eww that's sick and you would only hurt yourself in the process. sorry but it's true. so you shouldn't like him or anything just finish college and keep looking for your perfect guy. becuz there's many fish in the sea. as they always say.
