I had the same problem for my junior prom. Honestly, a guy appreciates a ballsy girl. Try just walking up to him and talking to him, working the subject of the dance into the conversation. He'll more than likely be impressed that a girl he hardly knows had the courage to ask! =] Good luck!

if you sorta know him, myspace him! and talk from there. or you can ask around w/ his friends, if you know them and see whats up. then make your move. but get to know him first.. depending on how much time you have undil sadies. go for it!
