Exodus 15:25
Then Moses cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became sweet. There the LORD made a decree and a law for them, and there he tested them.

Genesis 22:1
[ Abraham Tested ] Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, "Abraham!" "Here I am," he replied.

Now the question is that testing is required by one who is not aware of something and one who is not aware of the result. While for Allah apparent and hidden is all same and whatever it is in the Heavens and the earth; nothing is hidden from Him. Then why is it necessary for Him to test His servants?

I think quite often it is for the benefit of the human being tested. Of course God doesn't benefit- as such- because He is all knowing and nothing is hidden from Him. The human being tested has to go through tests and trials to prepare him for what God is going to have him do. God did extraordinary works in both Abraham and Moses (your examples).
It's kind of like a marathon or the army, you know? You don't drop someone behind enemy lines without having gone through training. Right? Well, those tests are their training. Those men are part of the special forces of the Old Testement.

Because without testing, some children of God might be left behind. How can students graduate if they don't pass their tests? Are we merely to assume that the student has internalized the requisite knowledge? For example, had Abraham answered "I am a cow", God would have had to hold him back a grade or two until he could have passed the test.

I don't really understand your question.

First God knows everything and nothing can be hidden from Him.

Second, God revealed Himself to us as according to the Old and New Testaments.

Third, He tests because he is concerned and cares about us. Like a parent teaching a child. A parent also test his children in certain ways to see if the child really loves them or to make sure they are on the right path.

God has a special plan in mind for each person. But, in order to carry out his plan, we need to be in the right place and in the right mind set. Sometimes God allows us to suffer from the consequences or our own actions or sometimes the actions of others in order to bring us to that place or mindset. There is an old saying that reads, "Anything that does not kill you makes you stronger" I firmly believe that is true. Testing does not necessarily mean that you don't know the answer. It sometimes is asking "what are you going to do with that knowledge?"

God tests to see the true believer from the false. And yes God knows what a person will do, but that person needs his free-will and that person must see for himself what he was doing, so that he has no excuse against God on the Day of Judgement.

Because God created all, He is allowed to do as He pleases. The so called "tests" are to help not only ourselves but others around us or even a complete stranger. God knows what is best for us. If only we would give HIm more of our time each day. It starts with love, not hatred or bitterness, but love!

Allah (Glory be to Him) tests His servants to merit their loyalty to Him. It does not matter that He can see you, it is what you do, for example, if your father died or you have an important test you failed.
DO you curse the world or pray to Him that He knows what is best for you? Because He knows the past, present, future and what could have happened but didn't. ANd it's up to you to see what you will do. He probably has something better in store, whether in the afterlife or now.

Most of the tests we encounter are just the tests that arise from living life. Just the general struggle and frustrations of living on this planet as it is tests our metal.

God is building a people that can get along to live with Him. He doesn't want eternal war in heaven!

The tests are not for his benefit, but for ours. They teach us valuable life lessons, and help us to grow closer to God. Even when we fail the tests, we can still learn from our mistakes, and God turns ALL things around for the good of those who love him, and are called according to his purpose.

God Bless

Why does your teacher, parents, spouse, and even your children subject you to tests? For much of the same reasons God does.
