I have a 'old' Canon IXus II 3.2 MP Camera. Want to buy a good not to expensive new one. I love Scrapbooking (anyone knows a computer software for that?) so it schould be for that. And if possible with SD cards

I would upgrade to a 4 or 5 megapixel Camera from Fuji or Kodak. No need to go super crazy with the mega pixels.. what is the best one out there now like 15 mega pixels? no need to go that far and that deep into your wallet. such high MP is only good if you want to blow up your pictures to poster size or larger and still have a super clean shot.

for your software.. try going to Micheals the arts and crafts store or look online to see if there are any "Computer fairs" coming to your neighborhood.

Why not another Canon? there are a lot of models available, and some are like 200 or maybe less. I had a A520 model (4Mp, very nice point and shoot) and currently have a SD700IS, which is very nice, fast 6 Mp camera.

I heard that, currently, anything above 5 Mp on a point and shoot doesn't really improve the image, since the lens is small, so don't worry if you don't get a 10Mp camera.

I don't really understand what is a scrapbook, if what you want is to put different photos in a page, Microsoft has a software that lets you do that, and also some very nice tricks. It's definitely not as powerfull as Adobe Photoshop, but it cost 6 times less, probably. Also Corel Paint Shop Pro has some very nice features.

I use a Kodak P-850 camera which has about everything I need and it's available now for under $400. It's 5.1 MP

I had some scrapbooking software a few years ago but it's not my thing. I'm sure you can find it at a Best Buy or Staples store or whatever store you have near you that sells computer software.

Good luck..........
