in my younger days i used to say it alot. I didn't mean it most of the time. I just didn't know what to say when a girl told me she loved me when i was dating.
That changed when I met my wife. She was the first girl I could not say it to. After a few days I relized why, she was the first one I really loved. It took me a couple of weeks to say it but I could only whisper it quitly in her ear.
Now that I am older I regreat telling those other girls that but now i know better.

It depends on what type of love you mean. like if you love them as a friend then its no big deal. but like the head over heels type of love is very serious and shouldnt be said if you dont mean it.

very serious... isnt "i love you" and "im sorry" are the hardest thing to say? so it must take a lots of courage to say that to sumone... it will be easy for you to say it if you dont really mean it but be careful using those words... it can either make sumone happy or hurt them even more... ^.~

it all depends. if you mean it, it is extremely important. if you don't mean it, you could end up hurting the person more then if you didn't say anything at all. But if you do mean it, it's the start of a great relationship. :)
