I don't think that herbalists are strictly pagans. People of all faiths can learn about & use herbs.

Many of the "rituals" that Christians use are Pagan in origin, so I'm not insulted. Personally, I have not been attacked or degraded by a Christian. I have held my own and refused to be drawn into a fight. If I respect their view, then they should have the decency to respect mine. If not, oh well. The Goddess & God didn't put me here to fight over useless things.

Magick isn't just Pagan (although technically they/we were the first). All religions have some form of magick, but not all of them call it that, and not all of them practice it the same way. Hell, some of them don't even practice it at all.

But I don't think that was your point. Yes, Christianity has taken much from other religions, especially ancient Pagan faiths. Christianity is nothing but a religious gumbo of sorts, with no real unique or specific ingredients. And that, I believe, is your point.

All it is, is ignorance. And, as difficult as it is, we need to allow other people the right to be ignorant.

As petty as it may be, I find comfort in this bumper sticker: Everyone has the right to be stupid. Some people abuse the privilege.

They just don't know their history - or very much about history at all, really. Otherwise they'd know better. Remember: those Christians are happy living in their little box of illusions, and everyone has the right to be happy, so let them be. Let them think it's theirs and be on your way.

Knowing better is good. Gloating about knowing better is bad.

Herbalism and magic are independant of religion. If a Christian wants to practice either, more power to them!

Personally, I don't put too much effort into getting worked up when somebody has an issue with Paganism, so it takes a lot for me to find it insulting. I might get a little annoyed if they're rude in their presentation, but that's more of an issue with manners.

As a pagan you know we pull on this or that what ever makes the most sense to us and whatever works for us. With that said I think that if they want to be a pagan with their deity focused as the Christian God then whats the problem? We of all peoples should be the last to point fingers and wag our tongue on religious specifics and regulations. Is not freedom to live with an open heart the reason we all became Pagans in the first place?

in basic terms because I carry diverse beliefs from some different person, that does no longer advise i think obligated to attempt to provide up them from worshipping the way that they choose. I likely would not participate in a pagan ritual at a Veteran's Memorial, yet when it truly is what the individuals being commemorated might want to have wanted, then more effective power to 'em. Pagans have served interior the protection stress, and they have the right to have the type of ceremony that suits their idea gadget. I advise, they *did* wrestle for the freedoms all of us appreciate -- such as the right to coach faith as we come to a decision.

No, it just give me more ammo against them preaching to me. They are just pagans in disguise anyway. look at their main holidays, straight from the pages of pagan history. Do you really think Jesus if he exists approves of Christmas? Not according to that book they claim to believe, but fail to read.

I don't care what a person believes as you know that being pagan yourself we accept all religions but I do not like to be preached to and I will uses any information I can to prove they need to back off.

If they want to claim to be Christian and then cast spells or live together without being married, I have no problem with that unless they start trying to tell me I am going to hell, then we have problem.

It will cause them problems in their churches usually. I see Christians read the horoscopes and some go to tarot readers, but if their church members find out, it will be interesting.

Usually those who do such things are not the ones that give us problems, at least not from what I have personally experienced.

Magic is not a Pagan thing. I prefer high magic which is built up very nicely from Judaism, Christianity, and so much more. Magic is a universal. I'm also more than "Just a Pagan." My beliefs are very complex.

They plagarized Judaism and warped the images into a judgemental mess. The eucharist is the blessings over bread and wine. The Last Supper was a seder. Jesus was a reform rabbi, not a deity. Some of them want to create the conditions for Armageddon in Israel so that they can have their rapture.

It's just the way they do things.

Which doesn't mean it's just.
