You have a choice...get it?

You can believe Jesus died for your sins OR you can pay for your own sins.

Which way will you choose.?

Choose wisely ...your eternal destiny depends upon it.

It's not the "not believing" part that people get punished for. If you don't believe in the restriction of murder in society, and think everyone should be able to murder anyone, but if you yourself never murder anyone, there's no problem.

But if you murder someone, it doesn't matter what you believe or don't believe. You will still go to jail.

God's commandments are the standards He will judge by. I have a set of standards, and so do all my friends. I don't see myself as bad as hitler, but that doesn't make me Not bad.

God's standards are the 10 commandments. 1) No other Gods 2) No idols, or shaping God into what you think he should be 3) Don't say God's name in vein, or without the proper respect 4) Remember the sabbath day, and keep it holy 5) Honor your parents 6) Do not murder 7) do not commit adultry 8) Do not steal, not even something small 9) Do not lie 10) Do not covet.

So you're going to stand before God on the day of Judgement, and if you broke even one of these commandments, then you are a lawbreaker.

So punishment is for those who break the law, not for those who don't believe. So have you broken any of the laws?

Who's punishing you? You're free to do whatever you want, to believe whatever you want, because in the end you'll be the one to live with the consequences, and if you think you can't suffer more than you already have you are sadly mistaken. So the real question is why would you punish yourself by making bad choices?

I don't punish you if you choose to feel that way, I don't see the government punishing you. I would like to know why are we being punished for knowing the truth?

we aren't being punished for not believing, we can believe what we want but there is still a reality.
We can choose to follow the laws of death or follow the laws of life that God established in the beginning. Choice is free will. No one else made this world, God made it, so since there is no other universe but this and no creator but him, things are going to have to run by how He made it to run. If he made it run on peace and love in Him, and you have to follow His ten commandments to be a part of it then that is the way it has to be. But if you don't like this universe and don't want to go by the creator's laws, the most merciful thing for you is to die because the creator is not going to put up with his natural laws for hapiness being broken forever. You can choose to live in His universe or you can choose to die when he cleanses this sinning world. Unless you can find some other universe to live in.

Why do you feel like your being punished? Is it guilt over the way you treat those who believe? I am an unbeliever but I make sure that I don't intentionally insult or hurt others with my words.

Well if you do not believe the law of gravity is true, then you will be punished by falling off a cliff. Likewise, if you do not believe the salvation offered by Jesus is true, you will be punished by falling into hell. You see, it's all perfectly logical if you break it into smaller pieces and then create similes, metaphors, and analogies in order to translate what is apparently irrational into something apparently rational.

Because the Catholic (well, I'm Catholic, but you may belong to another denomination) church lives on a highly strict code of rules that it has lived by for so long, they know that if you stop giving your undivided loyalty to it, you will lose your fear of God, and they will lose the power that they would have over you if you believed that by going against them you'd be "damned to hell". The church has been around so long and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

You're not, unless you're punishing yourself, or you're listening to people who are punishing you because of their own insecurities or lack of education and worldliness.

You are free to believe or not belief in anything, and to avoid hostile people and situation. Your life is your own.

Your feeling of punishment is the Truth gnawing at your spirit.
Your choice of denial is mistaken as punishment. Actually God gave you the freedom to choose.

Being separated from God in innately offensive interiorly.

We are not. We punish ourselves by BELIEVING we are being punished for not believing. And yes, I am serious.
