I get hives whenever I eat strawberries. I don't like the flavor of strawberry but we don't always get what we want. Anyways, would eating a product (such a pudding or cereal) with dried strawberries or strawberry bits that are natural and not artifical, still give me hives?

And, would things such as lollipops and stuff with artifical strawberry still give me hives (not including cases where I am allergic to the ingredients)?

Thanks, Everybody, Including People who tried to help but didn't do a thing!

Possibly. All you have to do is look at the ingrediants and make sure strawberrys arent on the list. If the list is not there, and you still arent sure, then contact the company that makes the candy, as in the US they are required by law to inform the consumer of this information.

You would probably have reactions to the dried strawberries and strawberry bits. It's the same substance, only the water has been removed.

Artificially flavored strawberry stuff probably wouldn't hurt you; it isn't made from real strawberries.

It depends on whether the flavoring is all natural or not. Some products use "extracts" which probably would make you break out too. Always check the labeling for all-natural. For instance, a strawberry flavored lollipop is going to say something like "Arifical Flavoring" -- That should be safe enough for you. Be careful!

I would stay away from anything that has strawberries in it. Including yogurts, puddings, cereal, cakes and any other products that could possibly contain non-artificial strawberry ingredients. I'm not a doctor so don't hold me to what I suggest.lol. Hope I could help!

ok, if you are allergic to Strawberries and you eat say Special K with Starwberries in it, it's a pretty good bet that you are going to get hives depending on your toloerence level. Now then Strawberry lollipops probably not gonna do anything, but you should talk to you Physician before you take someone's advice who's not medically trained because hey, it's life, your body and your are the one who has to deal with the hives.

My daughter is allergic to strawberries but can tolerate the flavored strawberry food items. Never tried the dried strawberries, but feel that they would further aggravate your allergies.

If you are allergic to fresh strawberries then you are allergic to all strawberries whether they are fresh, dried, etc. If it's artificial then you should be fine because obviously it's not the real thing.
