Do anorexics go to hell?

Question

I never wanted to be anorexic, but I do feel better about myself when I weigh less. I sometimes even feeling closer to God when I am fasting. This isn't about conceit, I do feel better when I feel better about myself and when I don't feel weighed down. I just don't want God to be upset with me, I love him so much. I feel like crying with how much I love God and Jesus. But I'm afraid that they are upset, and do the anorexics that die go to hell? I really hope they don't, because some of them can be the nicest people ever, and deep down they just want to be better people.

Hi! We don't have any rights to judge whether anorexics will go to hell or not, coz that's God's right..but if they have confessed that Jesus is their saviour and wanna follow Him, I think that we must know as God's children, our body is the temple of God and we can't ruin them..if u keep being an anorexic, it means u'll slowly damage ur own health..If u want keep loosing or balancing ur weight..u can see the doctor and ask their suggestion how to do that..not with keep being anorexics. I do believe that God is really kind and He always gives us chances to learn and change our bad habits..Just be our selves! God accpets us the way we are no matter u thin or fat..black or white..He still loves us! God bless...

No, anorexics don't go to hell. Being anorexic is a disorder just like depression, anxiety, agrophobia, bi-polar(which I have), etc etc. I really believe that if you live your life by the scripture 'Do unto others as you would have done unto you', and basically try to be a good person that doesn't hurt others then you'll make it into heaven.

However, God wants us to take care of ourselves. Being anorexic can be very dangerous. Have you thought about seeking help? I don't know how bad yours is, but people have died from it. So don't let it get out of hand, and if you see that it's getting worse, seek help.

Sweety, you will not go to hell. God loves you so much, and it sounds like you have a relationship with Him, so you know that. I know that He won't you to be healed, but He doesn't condemnn you for this. Just like He doesn't condem people who have cancer or any other sickness.

I do hope you will get some help for yourself, because you need to be healthy. But you just remember that no matter what you go through, or how hard it is, Jesus will always be right by your side. Please do some studying and praying about being baptized with the Holy Spirit. Being Spirit filled sure does open your eyes to a whole new relationship with Jesus, the power of His name, and the love He so freely gives.

Are you saying you're becoming anorexic because you fast so much? Fasting is a wonderful thing to do for God out of love and to deepen your relationship with Him. That's a wonderful thing. But don't let it get out of hand. Remember you don't have to do anything to earn God's love and acceptance, He gives it freely. So really search yourself and ask are you doing this to over compensate and make up for a sin? If so, you don't need to. God loves you. He created your body and wants you to take good care of it and feed it properly. K? There are other ways to show devotion.

Tell u what; we human being don't have a say of who goes to heaven and who goes to hell. It's all in the hands of god. It good that u believe in god and its existence. Personally, there's nothing really wrong to want to have a lesser weight, as long as u don't starve urself and harm ur body. I believe god won't want to see a human being suffer themselves voluntarily for nothing. U get what I mean? I do advise u to eat moderately. Its also good to fast sometimes. It helps u to lose weight, u learn to persevere and overcome some temptations. But when u don't fast, DO NOT starve urself! God love every each of His creation but we should also know how to appreciate things that is given to us and make good use of it. Hope u'll be enlighten to hear this..

well i used to be bulimic and people would always tell me u might as well be commiting murder or something b/c ur body is a temple unto God. i also go to church. and when u fast u don't do it 2 lose weight. God made fasting so u would draw closer to him not think about ur self. God also made you and he don't see anything wronf w/ ur body. but we r also suppost to keep in shape and everything to stay healthy but being anorexic is hurting your body not helping it. so u be the judge of ur answer. no 1 can judge u b/c u r not God. i think u already know the right answer. good luck and God bless

No, anorexics don't go to hell if they really have given their life over to Jesus.
But when you love Jesus and really know Him, when you have a relationship with Him, you'll find that He loves you no matter what.
It doesn't matter so much what other people think of you, because the Creator of the Universe loves you no matter how much you weigh.

ahh yet another faithful christian sister. no you wont go to hell, Jesus Christ doesnt have a problem with people that are anorexic. everyone has problems like that and different, Our Lord loves everyone and doesnt want anyone to go to hell. but one thing to keep in mind, nobody gets into heaven without accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. It all depends on what is in your heart. I dont view Anorexia as a sin but it is a health issue that needs to be addressed. Serious health complications can arise from Anorexia such as Heart Disease. But God loves you very much and is worried about your health. Just keep loving him the way you do and you'll live eternally in heaven.
