just a thought since I used the elbow macoroni out of the mac and cheese to make it and all.

Not at all! I usually make the mac and cheese first. Then I add the seasoned ground beef and half of a jar of salsa to the mixture. Put into a greased baking pan, sprinkle the top with Monterey jack and cheddar cheeses, and bake in the oven for 20 minutes. Great for the kids and a quick meal!

It'll be fine, maybe a little salty. I always have extra cheese powder because the whole pack makes the mac and cheese too salty for me. You can use cheese powder on popcorn too...lots of creative potential there.
