Is it going to chafe and blister my butt? I went a few years ago and when I got off that horse, I felt as if I had received the spanking of my life!

No, because you get used to it after a while and pretty soon you don't feel it anymore.

You will be sore, no doubt. But the more you ride the more in shape you get and the less it makes you hurt. ITS GREAT !

I love Horses and have had them all my life. But every spring time when I start riding again its the same thing all over. I don't ride much during the winter because I don't like cold weather. But all summer I'm gone all day on my wonderful and Beautiful Horse. NOTHING SO AWESOME AS RIDING IN THE MOUNTAINS WITH A TRUSTY STEED. Me and my Horse are one.

Good Luck and have Fun !

As long as you are wearing pants, you shouldn't have to worry about getting your butt chafed or blistered. You have to ride for awhile before your body gets used to it, though. I used to go ride, every weekend, and then when Monday came around, I could hardly walk. After riding for awhile, that quit happening.

Make sure you get a sadle that fits your butt. If it's too big or too small it will increase soreness, and don't forget to adjust the stirups as well.
